Lasith bowled well in the final taking 2 for 49 - being the most economical bowler in the SL attack. later, in the bizarre light-affected final stages, Lasith also briefly put his bat to good use smashing a massive six over mid-wicket.

Despite three games missed due to his mid-tournament injury, Lasith took the fifth highest number of wickets at a strike rate second only to Glenn McGrath.

The most economical bowlerat the tournament was fellow super aero, Shane Bond. Bond's economy rate of 3.05 was signifcantly lower than any other player at the tournament.
