At Chelmsford today, Iain O'Brien and Michael Mason dismantled the Essex batting enabling NZ to win its tour game over Essex. Taking three wickets each our two super aeros got in some excellent time at the bowling crease before the final warm up game against the England Lions.

Mason took 7 wickets in the match and O'Brien 6. Both players also made contributions with the bat. They combined in a 59 run last wicket partnership in the first innings and then made useful scores in the 2nd innings enabling Kyle Mills to score his 50.
